Hey all! Been a bit since I've posted. Quick background, I had the 8310 with AT&T and had patiently waited since last October(ish) for the 8900 to make it's way to AT&T. Finally, in March, my 8310 completely died, and I was forced to upgrade, going with the bold. $400+ later I had the bold. Went through TWO bolds within 15 days of owning it. Faulty speaker on one, no signal and two buttons not working on another. I love the phone, but I have to say, the three I've had including the one now, just don't cut it as a PHONE. I've found call quality to be pretty bad, I constantly cannot hear others or they can't hear me, I have this choppy tinny sound. I want to love the phone, and I do. 3G is great, phone is speedy, keyboard fantastic. Personally, I love the form factor of the 8900, the better camera, and the more memory for apps. I'm attempting to switch now that this will be my third replacement. Either I'll ask for a swap, or I'll get the refurb and sell it.
My question is do I contact AT&T for this, or is it RIM that I go through? It's been a long time since I've swapped out a phone so I'd like to contact the right people. And if anyone can give me the right # that'd be appreciated.
