I was fixing my bold 9780 to replace the LCD, had big crack. I took it apart, on the back of the LCD it said 002/111 so I ordered the same LCD off eBay, when it came I put it in an got this result.

I tried the screen in a different bold 9780 and same result. I sent the screen back, got my money back and the bought the same screen off a different seller. And the same result! Any ideas whats wrong here?

Did you actually see a crack\damage on your old screen? i.e. did you see something that would be the source of the noise you heard?

Check the circuit board of the main phone for any other damage. Use a strong light, and a magnifying glass if you have one. Make sure that crack didn't come from somewhere else.

The item can not compatible with the OS 5.0 and any upgrades like 6.0 and 7.0.(You need downgrade your phone if yours is OS 5.0 or any other OS'.

But, there is no OS 5.0 for Blackberry 9780 as far as I know.

There is also no OS 7.0 for Bold 9780. The only OS we have on a Bold 9780 is 6.0

The seller of cheap and knock-off screens rarely knows what he is selling. He just reads the labels and sells that way without having any phone knowledge. And if these are coming out of a knock-off factory then the manufacturer really doesn't care about testing and quality.
