Ok. The 9900 I recently got seems to have encountered some screen trauma. It appears to have some black lines running horizontally across the screen. Touch functionality is still perfect and no other issues. It started with a very small bit of distortion (3/8 of an inch or so) and has since spread to almost the full width of the screen and went from one thin horizontal line to one (thicker now) line plus a few more very thin shorter lines. I'm thinking that a screen replacement is in order but just wanted to chime in here to see if there was some type of solution before dropping any cash on a two and a half year old phone.

It sounds to me like the screen needs to be replaced. I doubt if there are bad pixels that there would be any way of fixing the issue. Without a replacement. But that's my opinion.
    Get a Z or Q?

Buy an OEM screen, replace it yourself and go to tmo to get a new up to date phone

Thanks. There is no TMo here in Canada. I am on Bell and recently got rid of my "up to date" Z10 in favour of going back to the 9900.
