Just installed it, it's much snappier than any OS 6 leak for the 9780, I tested its boot time side by side with my GF's 9780 which was running 546 and my phone running 576 (we have the same apps installed) booted 12 seconds faster!!! Radio is also better as browsing on 546 was slow eventhough I was on 3G. This is definately a step forward. Will check MeterBerry's readings in 3 days after 7 battery pulls to settle in the battery

the update froze my phone had to wipe the phone, now the phone wont see any os`s any idea guys?
Make sure that nothing interrupts the install process. Ensure that DM doesn't come on, and that there is steady power to to your PC (it doesn't turn off during the install process). You can try to reinstall and if it doesn't work (you get the 507 error or something) then maybe revert back to the old OS. It should install if nothing interrupts the process.

rebooted and attached again, none of any previous os would load even the stock one with the phone, deleted all os and desktop manager from pc, loaded straight away, big sigh of relief, never had any problem like this before, have done many installs, but all working now thanks
And that was why I posted the zip... So everyone could dump the files in the OS folder prior to the update and avoid such issues...
You could try loading it with DM.
Thank for that. Didnt see the zip file. Btw. I uninstalled the second email setup assistant with the higher version number on my phone via the bbdm. That worked.
Thank you, but I was just wondering, since I'm running a real smooth O.S.
The .600 that has not sim menu problem or clock alignment problems. Plus media and browsing are a thunderbolt. Lol this O.S. is crap is one month older compared to .600 cods
.600 3/6/2011
.576 5/5/2011
Plus the radio file stills the same like the .546: rim0x15001507.sfi
Not woth the update for me, except for some cods that I have swapped with the old .546
Once again thanks to RIM and his way to give O.S. to carriers
guys, I am not following those recent updates for several versions for when I am quiting some third-part softwares there is always a lag like 2-3 sec. dose this new os have the same problem?
Nope.. you gave up too soon remeber?? I am downloading it anyway radio file might be better
Dear Albert. If you don't have anything useful to say about my contact sync issue, please refrain from making humorous statements. Specially when they are not exactly accurate. You were not here to see if I gave up or not, were you?
Wow, autotext backup/restore issue is resolved in this build. I was successfully able to restore my autotext backups. In all prev builds it never worked.
I need to know if this is better than .546????? I'm currently running .534..I was just about to upgrade to .546 because ppl say it's the most solid one since .480...but then this official release comes out...Don't know what to do now.

Except for slow boot up, 546 is definitely a very stable version. BBM, emails, browser pages seems to load faster... battery life also good...
570 is not recommended. I hit a lot of problems even when flashing the OS. If you're running fine on 534, give this forum a few days wait and come back for more feedback. Then make your decision.
If you have time to spare then give it a try. :-) . Those on 570 I'm sure will definitely try out this one...
Albertinik, what do i need to do in order to get .600 on 9780?
You can take the .600 java files from the 9700 and copy/paste them into the .576 java folder from 9780. It will ask you if you want to replace, and you hit okay (something to that effect). Delete the vendor files, shrink the OS if you want (Hybrid Tools, BBSAK etc) and then run AppLoader as usual. You should be good to go.
No, that would give him an OS with a messed up theme, very small icons and he won't be able to even access the options to change the theme. There are certain files from the Java folder that must not be copied from the 9700 Java folder.

Are you on T-Mo? BTW There's a sistem read that i posted on a thread. Should be there if didn't get deleted. Justst copy the names and look for them on the .576 O.S. You should be alright. If you're on T-Mo then is a different business.
