- Did you do a selective backup, (skipping everything but contacts (addressbook), memopad, calendar, messages (only if you have an @carrier.blackberry.com e-mail), bbm options/bbm groups, bis data, browser bookmarks, browser options, options and icon arrangement) and restore what was backed up selectively, before you updated in a clean manner? I think you should try that. It could be a bad setting.07-20-12 10:43 PMLike 0
- Sorry bro im kinda noob on this one. Correct me if im wrong so what i have to do is re install the OS again? using Apploader or Desktop Manager?07-20-12 10:50 PMLike 0
- If you keep any of what I listed that should be backed up, or any contacts, you'll lose them if you don't do a backup first. If you don't mind a clean state, then just keep the contacts, memopad, browser bookmarks and bbm contacts, skipping everything else. Use the /nojvm option to do a clean state reload.owiyeah likes this.07-20-12 11:41 PMLike 1

- Toggle data services to ensure the icon is displayed, re-register under Host Routing Table, resend servicebooks. If that doesn't work, battery pull or soft reset. If it still doesn't work, contact your carrier.07-21-12 11:42 PMLike 0
- i had used 723 for about a month and downgraded back to 688.
the battery life was actually worse then 688 and once the OS settled in, i lost memory so quickly that once it hits 20meg, the OS has an annoying delay that is NOT the clock of death. it got quite annoying that i went and downgraded back to 68808-03-12 07:59 PMLike 0 -
if you remove the bbm application, and reinstall it, all of your lost memory will recovered. so i think the bad guy is the bbm application.
so no need to reinstall whole os to recover memory leak.
just the problem is, when reinstalling os or bbm, the bbm groups are not always fully recovered, and that's soooooooo bad08-05-12 05:57 AMLike 0
