Is it just me or has anyone noticed that certain avi movies are no longer playing? I had some mobile videos on my phone before the upgrade and now, the sound plays but the video doesn't show. It says the movie uses an unsupported vidoe format.
Pls...somebody should try playing an avi movie file with this OS version. Mine has stopped working and it would be good to know if its a general thing or not. Thanks.
we should all applaud Rim's ignorance in fixing the reset issue only after they lost millions of users. If they fixed these issues months ago, I personally know 5 people that that would have used their next upgrade for a 9930 instead of an iphone4s.
I had a reboot on camera launch last night and I've been running .706 for over a week.
Oh NO! this is what I was afraid of! I hope it does not start for me!!
I use the camera a lot and I hated the OS version with the reboot issue!!! So sorry this happened to you!
the only time i have reset/reboot is when bridged to my playbook. If i click on too many links at a time and don't let them load or when i am navigating through messages and don't wait for them to load.
I have to say my 9650 is running great with .706 installed, no problems at all and to update my battery usage, I would say its slightly better than .600. Not overwhelming, but better. I've check the issues that I read about and those problems have eluded my 9650.
Since doing the update all the received sms messages are at the bottom of each thread and you have to scroll up passed all the received to see the sent sms. I looked through the sms options but did not find a seting, anybody else have the issue or know how to resolve it????

I had something similar but I wouldn't call it a reboot. The camera screen went white and then just stuck there. I had to do a battery pull to get the phone operational again. I have been running this OS for two weeks and taken hundreds of pictures and that is all I have had so far. Hopefully just a hiccup!!

avi's are too large to put on the phone, imho. I convert everything to 3gp or mp4. and then transfer it to the phone. They both work.
Just plug in your phone, copy the avi over and convert it to 3gp and put it back on your phone.

Yeah. But, there are some sites that allow downloading mobile videos in avi format. I can't afford to start converting each episode in a seasonal movie.
I installed last week and waited over the weekend to chime in so I could get everything set the way I wanted and see how it did for a few days. So far I'm happy with it.
The phone is faster. Haven't had any little clock of death moments, no reboots, no hangups at all.
Wondering if the AccuWeather app needs to be updated because it has me stuck at 12/13/11 at 4:48 AM. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.
Other than that, everything has been really good with the new OS.
