hi

my key lock button stopped working!

i restarted the phone, battery pull

and even upgraded the os and still wont work

any1 have this problem?

the phones two top buttons operate with very delicate metal tabs underneath the plastic buttons. they can become easily detached. if you have an existing warranty, look into a replacement device. if not, there are places on the internet where you may be able to either buy the replacement top piece with the buttons, or the thing metal parts attached to the mid plate. you just need to diagnose the issue after disassembly in order to rectify it. take the phone apart to see where the problem is. either in the outside buttons on the bezel or the internal buttons.

the top buttons are part of the bezel when you buy it.

i took my phone apart

all parts looked ok
i swapped the mute button with the key lock and now both r working lol

so maybe it was just dirty or not in its place

Be careful with opening up the phone man! It may do more harm than good the next time!

Okay so I had the same problem but I assigned it to the button on the right and every time I lock it after about 5 mins it just unlocks itself!
