    I switched from my curve 8520 to a bold 9930 and i love it! I just hope the battery life is ok.

    anyway, im not really liking the home screen. I liked how simple the os5 home screen is. Like i can just press the T key to go to the tasks. And the D button for the memo. Why cant i do that? I mean yeah i like the search function but its better if its separated.

    Also, any tips on saving battery? They say i should switch to 2g cause i dont have a data plan anyway. And i wanna uninstall bbm. What else are some battery saving tips?

    edit: looks like im having issue connecting to my new home router! it says failed to associate to network!

    If you go into advanced settings you can turn off search and thus use T, N, L etc. etc.

    ALso noticed that i cant turn off gps.

    It only has 2 opetions: e911 only and location ON.

    Mine shows on or off, maybe it's a carrier thing, I'm on Sprint.

    Also if you get the MyOwnHotkeys app, you can set all of the ABC keys and spacebar to launch apps, it's great.

    Press the BlackBerry 7 buttons, click on option, you'll see the tab at the top that says universal search, click on that and change it to application shortcut.

    To turn off your gps, go into option - device - location settings - turn off location services.
