It sounds as if it may be a hardware issue with something not reconnected just right. I would suggest to have a repair shop/station look at it but I have no idea where to send it to.
did you replaced the lcd with the right lcd version?
Yes, gavriel is right. I remember changing a 8900 screen, and there were 2 versions available, and they were not crossed compatible. That might be your problem.
sounds like you used the wrong hardware or you simply installed it wrong...
before going and getting it professionally fixed or buying another LCD, try taking it apart again and making sure that everything is in the right place and such. If that doesn't work, take it to get it fixed (or get the right screen assuming you got the wrong one).
Take a look at your old LCD Screen on the top left there should be a number.
ex. 001/004 n such.
as stated above, you might of bought the wrong LCD Screen.
I made sure it was 111/001. and the lcd was the right one but still displaying white. Phone is functional just white screen
Was there a warranty on the new LCD you've just bought? If so I would change it again. Sometimes the connectors are damaged during the shipping. It happened to me once.
I was changing the bold 9700 lcd with the same numbers but the new lcd was defective. The phone was functionnal but the screen was white. So I exchanged for another lcd 'new' screen and boom it worked.
There was no warranty on the lcd. The guy replaced with two different lcds ?
What could be the issue here.
its a 001/111 model for the lcd. i have a broken lcd with cracks in it that i replaced it with and it still shows white
The only thing that I could think of is that there can be a problem with the main board of your phone.
I'm not an expert, like I said I was lucky to have the possibly to swap the new lcd with another new one (same model) and the white screen issue was solved.
