    hello

    just bought a 9790 online ... i think its american

    i have a blackberry service here in my country which works just fine on my 9780 and 9800

    9790 however its working ok with calls sms and bbm

    the browser icon is missing from home screen but found in recent app section

    any time i try to browse its give me eror " browser has been blocked " even the same with youtube

    try to install opera browser from app world give me eror " no cached credenials error id 40721 "

    im really want this phone coz its small and light , i will return it back if there is no soloution for that

    and yes i call my service provider and the usual answer is this is not our problem its device !!!

    I'd do a security wipe of the phone to put it back to original OS in case the person you got it from didn't clean it up then reregister it with your carrier

    I thought your carrier had to push those. I could be wrong, as I only had missing service books once.

    You can manually load an OS on any phone. Did you swap out the PIN in your carrier account to the new phone?

    You can manually load an OS on any phone. Did you swap out the PIN in your carrier account to the new phone?
    No.. Coz I keep change my device from 9780 to 9800 with same SIM and they are working just fine no need to swap pin in any account as long I have unlimited blackberry service.
    I even tried the manual os replace as I download the specific os from bb site which is compatible with my carrier and nothing changes. One of my friends told me I should flash the phone in some shop here. It's really cheap but little bet far from my area. But I will give it a try.

    Thanks for all you guys who replied and concerned. Its turns out the problem is from the cheating online seller that I bought the phone from. The device was IT policy enabled. So a restore factory settings by blackberry desktop software solved the problem. It was pretty much annoying experience to me. But at the end I came up with the following results.

    1- don't buy a mobile phone online unless from a trust worthy seller. It's better to buy from your local supplier even there is a slight price different.
    2- blackberry is way complicated device for sure compared to android.
    3- do your research! There are plenty of useful info in the web. An YouTube video solved my problem.
