I shall be in the UK in July/August. If anyone has one in stock then I guess I'll be looking for a Bold unlocker.
Which London phone store do you figure will be the most likely to have one available? In other words, which are the biggest and best stocked stores for the carriers that are rumored to be launching the Bold.
This is gonna be expensive since I wnt one without a contract. Just a straight purchase.

By the looks of things Vodafone will be the first to get it. They do sell SIM FREE Phones, but they usually need a push and they then need to get them unlocked.
Usually I've got them to unlock Nokia phones and sell them to me SIM FREE, but I'm not sure if they will have the unlock codes at hand for the BB's.
The only other places would be places that sell them SIM FREE on the internet, such as Buy Cheap TomTom Garmin Navman Sat nav - Reviews, but you will have to get it ordered and next day delivery.
To be fair, the Ebay seller does sound as if he is trying to make it very clear what he is actually offering. Interesting though that he is saying he only has 3 available. (Edit: Apparently he initially had 5, so it looks as if he has already sold 2 of them!) Could they actually be 'pre-release' models though, I wonder?
If I were to be placing an advance order now, I think it would be with Handtec at 411.24 although I am sure that other sellers, (including Carphone Warehouse) will almost certainly be offering SIM free models nearer the actual release date.
My guess is that the asking price will initially end up at around 399.95 although personally I hope that O2 are not too far behind in offering them on contract.
It is going to be a long few weeks!

Reason: Additional comment
The pre-order price seems to be creeping up here in the UK already... Handtec have now inceased theirs to 422.99 which is actually still one of cheapest around at the moment.
Lambda-Tek are however fractionally lower at 421.30

Interesting... that does more or less tie in with what Play.com are saying, which is "Due for release on 15/08/2008", which is of course for an unlocked SIM free model.
That's a bit of a blow... it looks as if they may not be releasing it on 8th August after all then.
I just wish that someone would make a firm official announcement, and put us all out of our misery... the suspense is just getting too much to bear!
I am now getting a nasty feeling (and it is only that, at the moment) that we might just have to wait until September before we can pick one up, here in the U.K.
