Honestly, .282 has been the best (hands down) OS for me yet. Memory stays consistently high, considering I haven't had to pull my battery for over 16 days. No lag (except for the photos stored on the media card) and exceptional battery life.

Note: I was also a huge fan of .247, as it was awesomely stable as well.

yea i loved .282 while it was working, but im going back to .247 for now. may do .282 again in a couple weeks or thru another release. after a couple battery pulls and 10 minutes on the charger, my phone is letting me go back to .247 finally

Is the OS really related to dropped calls. I thought it just your signal and connections. I'm running 282 and haven't had a dropped call yet (never had one for the year I had my pearl either)

I love how one person goes against the grain, and they think THEY'RE right. 282 is fine. Best battery life yet.

I am also using .282 and its the best I've used to date.

I did a complete wipe with JL_CMDR and installed clean.
I tried 2 different versions of the .282 and the Rogers release is the better of the two. First one was a beta release.

Those of you having issues with releases, try a wipe with JL_CMDR. It's a full & complete format of the berry.

My thread is really active. I am on the officla Rogers .282 release and it is very good. Honestly the other .282 (The one my thread refers to) did not work for me and would drop signal to SOS. I don't have that problem any more. Some people say both .282s are identical. One person proved that wrong by revealing that the file size and contents were different. Whatever the case, Official Rogers .282 works great for me.

Just where do you get off saying "It's official .282 is crap"???

As you can see from this forum, others, including me, have found this to be amazing so far. Not only has my signal not dropped once, but I've found that i have anywhere between 4-10 extra MB than I did before it.

If you have problems then state them. Don't make a thread like you are speaking for everyone though.

    To BMWMPOWER:

If you can you may need to edit your first post and place in bold that the asia version of .282 is the OS giving you problems and not the Rogers .282 version.

282 has been great for me. I installed the Asia version the day it was released and ran until a couple of days ago. I changed because I wanted to give 5.0 a try but it was leaking too bad so I downgraded to the Rogers 282 to give that a try. No problems on either 282 version for me.

The ASIA version of 282 is woring great for me. But then I started off with an ASIA version of 247 as well, so who knows, there may be a reason for it. I am DEPERATELY hanging out for better battery performance. 282 is possibly better, but certainly not worse. No other problems have appeared, so its as solid as 247 for me. We only have 3G here, so no opportunity to switch down, which I suspect is why I get the battery draining very quickly when I am in an iffy spot for a while. If it's not that, it must be posessed.

Don't know how u upgraded but .282 is the best OS I've used thus far. No issues no dropped signals and the wifi is fast. I've been using since it has been released. No bugs no anything. I have 41MB availible.

282 works great on my fiances bold. Why do folks assume that if they have problems with a build everyone else has the same problem? Lol

I wouldn't say it's crap, but .282 has introduced a couple of problems associated with restarts that weren't there before. First, a restart after a battery pull/alt-shift-del takes much, much longer. Second, the scan of the media card after a restart is ridiculously long with .282. While it used to take 4 minutes with .266, it now takes close to a half an hour. (I have 90% of my 16GB card filled, so your results may differ.). Reason enough to downgrade for the first time, which I will probably do in the coming week. I cannot handle a sluggish Bold for a half hour after I do a BP.

FWIW I couldn't get Wifi to work on 282 either. No reason or explanation I could think of for it, just didn't. Tried 266 and found it to work great.
