hi there everyone! I just have little problem with my new blackberry bold 9780. When I put in my Rogers sim card it prompts me with a Message saying that i need to enter an unlock code.. would u like to do it now? However, when I go to Options>Network.. it shows that the phone is Rogers Wireless. So should it still be showing that message or what am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help!

P.s. -The sim card works fine in my old Iphone.. do iphones and blackberrys have different sim cards? Or does a blackberry supposed to have a special sim card?

1. Is the device branded to Rogers?
2. Have you checked with the carrier to ensure that the SIM card is compatible with the device?

You can find on the SIM card if you have the Network security "Active" - if it is so maybe the unlock code it's asking for is the MEP2 unlocking code.

Heyy damn i called rogerss they asked for the vendor id and my vendor id was 331 which is bell. I guess i have to unlock it now! Can anyone tell me how i can do that?? thanks a lot for ur help again!
