so i went on the verizon website and decided to call every verizon store or authorized verizon store listed within my zip code ( 07029 )
and the 1st 2 stores i called i received the same answer.
i asked when the blackberry 9930 will be for sale at thier store and there responce is TODAY (august10) or TOMMORROW (august11).
i had to repeat myself to make sure i said the phone correct.
i told him are you sure this is for the bb9930 the touchscreen bold. and he answered YES. call later tonight or tommorrow.
I called a couple verizon stores today also. I said I was looking to buy the 9650 but it wasn't on Verizon's site anymore. I ended up asking if the 9930 would be available soon and their responses were about the same; "We don't know when or if we will be getting any new blackberrys."
Lol, I wish i could call them too.
I did the same exact thing yesterday. I called about 10+ stores and they all said the same thing "no idea" except for 1 who said it should be out within a week or two. It was kind of disappointing to hear the same thing over and over again from different stores. It almost seemed as if they were trained to say this.

I called one by me and the girl (once she finished the 10 min speech she is trained to give when she picks up the phone) at least she seemed to know about a new version of a storm thats coming but didn't know about a bold
lol im gonna continue my call's after lunch. see what others stores say. i came to realize that calling the verizon stores are usless. but calling the authorized verizon dealers are more helpful and more knowledgeable.
these were the stores that confirmed that they were arriving today or tommorrow if any1 would like to call them. lol
Just called talked to Cal he said their waiting for them now
I told him im in Detroit and im a Verizon customer so if I chose to get thru you you would ship it to me next day he said yep so lets hope
I called a couple of VZ stores near me and for the first time at least they know the device. No release date but they know the phone. I guess they've gotten memos, training etc.
I asked if it might be tomorrow they said it's possible but they have no further info right now...
Oh I believed you! I know that they are coming soon its just I think the Verzon csr and store employees seem to have their focus on the other phones like iphone thunderbolt

Oh I know, I hate how they show such preference to the droids and iphones. I really wonder if they are just clueless with regards to all the new blackberry phones or if they have all been instructed to give the same line... "we have no information about any new blackberry coming to verizon"

yeah ... i want a BLACKBERRY. its been 3 months since my bb storm 1 (release day phone) broke cuz i dropped it in a pitcher of beer. i've been on my grammer school phone LG ENVY. its so sad.
My wife and I both bought this phone yesterday, we both love it! Can't get over how awesome it feels to type on this kb and how the phone feels in your hands is just amazingly comfortable. Feels almost too thin but isn't, almost too light but is the perfect weight. The screen isn't too small but personally I won't have mind if they made the phone a tad longer (.5") and put in a bigger screen. We thought about swapping to Iphone5 but after using this phone for a day, we definity will stay loyal to Blackberry!

I just called 3 of the stores in my area code - Atlanta 30324 - and each one said something to the effect of, "We've gotten several calls, but we are not sure yet...We are getting a high volume of inquiries but don't have the phone yet.." etc.
At least, if nothing else, it sounds like the phone is pretty well anticipated around me!
