Insert Sim Card Error
I have been using an unlocked T-Mobile Bold 9700 for 6 months with AT&T. This summer, I am in a different country and using a different carrier. It has been fine until yesterday when suddenly my phone had INSERT SIM CARD error. After removing the SIM card in and out for a couple times, it works fine again and I was able to make a phone call. After that, today, the error happened again and I have not been able to fix it again.
IS there any other way to fix this ?

Give your phone an OS update. If that doesn't help, then something is either wrong with your sim card from that country or the sim tray is damaged.

I have tried that sim card with a different phone and it works totally fine. Do I have to upgrade my OS from OS5 to OS6 then ?

It wouldn't hurt to give it an update. If it still gives the error, then it is a hardware failure of the SIM tray.

do you have any instruction on how I can update my OS ? My phone is an unlocked one

Try the OS update but if it won't help to fix the problem maybe you have a broken sim slot or something that is related to the hardware of your Blackberry.

Haha, I just left my phone home for a day today. When I got home, I tried to pluck the SIM card again and it works again. Do you guys think it is still a hardware problem ?

Hardware problems can come and go. Give give. A few more days and see if the problem presists.

I think the SIM that you're using is bad. Maybe if you got a replacement, it would be working fine. Give that a go before updating to OS 6. I highly recommend it.

I actually tried a couple different SIM in my phone when the problem happened. In addition, when I used this particular SIM in a different phone, it worked totally fine. Therefore, I do not think it is the SIM.
