Hallo, I'm proud owner of BB 9700 and it's time to change it. My new favorite is 9900, so I have few questions.
I'm buying used BB, so I have few questions before I give my money...
I cannot use BIS becouse on my carrier I have to wait untill my current contract expires (another 9 months).
So, can you please tell me what Service Books come default with OS? Becouse on my 9700 I can se Internet over gprs, browse, look trough appworld (but to download apps I need wifi), I can receive and send MMS.
Will I be able to do that on 9900 without BIS?
Or if somebody recently installed OS on BB 9900, can you please tell me what Service Books come with OS (when I see them, I will know if I can do all that I did on my old phone.
    Thank you.

You should just be able to swap sim catds and everything will be fine.

I agree just swap the SIM cards and you shouldn't have any problems.

Service Books are determined by the plan and services that you have with your carrier and are sent to a BlackBerry device through carrier-specific servers. BlackBerry has been making services available without BIS broader rather than narrow. Therefore, a BlackBerry 9900 should receive the same service books as your BlackBerry 9700. If you are able to sign in with your BlackBerry ID on your BlackBerry 9700, you should be able to do so on a BlackBerry 9700.

That said, why are you considering a BlackBerry 9900 over a BlackBerry Q10? On BlackBerry 10, you can have full BlackBerry services, including BBM with BBM Voice and BBM Video, without BIS. BIS is generally not required for BlackBerry 10 at all.

I guess he desires a very low cost used blackberry. If this bold 9900 ever got damaged beyond repair, I would do the same thing, look for another working used one.

Exactly, I'm on low budget, I know that Q10 is better phone than 9900, but i just don't have money for that. So, i have to buy used 9900.
