I know it could be wishful thinking, but I'm just going to hope they release on verizon on the 8th or that week at the latest. I know some of you may say thats never gonna happen, but if I believe its coming out in November and it comes out in Novemeber the entire time I will have been waiting for it anyway. SO I'm sending my positive energy out there for less then 2 weeks and I'll have a new Bold.....Just gotta find some accesories soon.

This is all starting to border on the mystic. Is there some kind of tribal dance we could be doing, perhaps with grotesque gargoyle masks, in order to get this phone released sooner?

Verizon would likely announce the it on the 10th with in store on the 11th. Based on their track record of never saying anything about any product release even up to the last day. The Droid 3 wasn't even talked about and it went on sale online only for a week then in stores. That could also happen with the Bold 9930.

Just did my ritual/tribal dance outside. I filled up a bucket with ice and went outside and threw the ice cubes into the sky hoping the GODS would be cool and let this Blackberry see the light of DAY...

Must admit some ice cubes fell and hit me. No pain no game.

They aren't, Verizon customers as just trying to wish it so.

Where is the business sense in handling releases this way? It would seem that more hype generation would equal higher sales. But what do I know.

I just want one carrier to release it. As soon as one carrier releases it, others will follow.

So what do we think we know, Verizon unknown but it looks like the 10th or so, Sprint on or about 21 and AT&T in Oct. T-Mobile is up in the air but end of Aug looks possible.

My reading of the cell towers.

I'm not saying its good business sense, but that is how Verizon does things. They just don't care and see no reason to let the news out. They still have stock of older phones to push out as well.

They announced the bold on a wednesday, put it up for sale at midnight for the 1 week advance online then it hit the stores. I hope that the BB9930 comes out on the 10th, but who knows.

As to Verizon getting it on the 10th, could happen, might not happen. Verizon won't say either way. As to why Verizon could get it first, CA$H MONEY. Verizon has a larger, more robust network than Sprint and when they want a phone they will buy the exclusive for it. BB is still a hot corporate phone and Verizon may want that corporate money for the upcoming quarter.

    Speaking of Verizon...

I see tons of Android complaints about un-removable Verizon "crapware".

Does Verizon do this with BBs as well?.... or, more specifically, might they install unremovable junk on the 9930?

I have deleted facebook on more than a few occasions and the crap keeps popping back up. Its a hidden file so no biggie. I'm not sure if you would consider this crap. I certainly do. It seems most would consider facebook a necessity.
