What's up guys! It's been a while since I toted a Bold and boy do I miss it! I'm picking one up today from a seller on CL and can't wait. I was wondering what has changed since the initial release. I bought one on the day it was released and had it for a good few months before grabbing a Storm (boy what a mistake). Anything new or exciting? I never changed the OS and kept it at factory (.167 if I remember right).
Anyway thanks for your 2 cents, info, etc. You guys are great!
I just came back to the BOLD yesterday as well. I got rid of my Storm. I just couldn't deal with it anymore. What a piece of work that handset is. I couldn't help but fall in love with the bold all over again. Its really the best BB out there. But yeah people what's new with the bold. I update to the newest OS. What are some apps that could make my Bold flawless?

There was a new official OS released a little bit ago, but its "less" than what us leaked OS users are on.
Don't forget to update to .266 when you get your Bold!

Nothing except a newer OS (I suggest 266)
And a thread explaining how to disable 3G to eliminate dropped calls (if that's an issue for you) and almost double your battery life.

Definitely update the software. I came back to the Bold Wednesday evening and had to get .167 off my Bold. Besides that it's still the best phone on the market IMO.
the newest official att 167 isnt bad at all either. if you're not into the beta thing. i've had it for a while now, signal is good, memory is a lot better as well!

.266 isn't a Beta. It's just not an ATT release.

Heh. Thanks guys. Can't wait to get up and running. Already got ordered the black out bezel, buttons and red trackball. You know I was looking for a used Storm for my co-worker and they are significantly cheaper than the Bold! Bolds are still being sold for a good 350-400 bucks and a Storm can be had for 250. I would have the thought the opposite since it was so hyped up... Anyway, i'm stoked!
