Is anybody else here almost bored with the lack of new OS builds coming down the pike recently for the Bold? It was at least interesting to get a new build every couple of weeks to a month to download...and for the longest, there has been nothing at all for us Bold-users to play with!

I nuked my phone briefly trying to load the very-beta 5.0 version...and am waiting patiently for the "official" 5.0 build that is coming around...some day!!

What's up with the 5.0 release?

Why did you remove 5.0? I'm thinking of loading 5.0 (out of bordom with 4.x) but not willing to make my phone unstable. Thoughts?

I'm thinking that they are working on 5.0 for all of the devices. That's just my opinion

I loaded the first version of 5.0. Found it too buggy and the few 3rd party apps I have didn't seem to work so I went back to .266.

Loaded .93. Pretty stable. Nicer interface features. The only app which doesn't work for me is Facebook which I can live without until either the next version of 5.0 or Facebook 1.6.

Are you looking to go from bored to furious? if not I would go ahead and scratch that "storm" idea you have.

I picked up a curve 8900 and that's holding my attention for now. I'm really liking it.

Its a great phone, I had one and the only thing that bugged me was the size (smaller than the bold), but that is because i am used to the Bold's feel.

The 9000's current device software is very quick and pretty stable. There's not much else to be done to 4.6. And 4.6 will be history soon.

I actually like the size and the feel betta than the bold. I just wish the 8900 had the speakrs and 3G of the bold. Theni think itd be better

That, and it kinda bridges the gap in size between the Bold (which I like) and the 8900 (which is too Curve-small to me)...and that might just be the perfect size, if it doesn't cramp the keypad too much.

    I'm looking forward to it...
