E71 or E72 look interesting but I have had lots of Nokias (and still have one in the family) but I am very suspicious of build quality and particularly os. Iphone is non starter for me because I don't like the keybord. I think HTC hero looks interesting or Palm Pre

I've bounced back and forth between the BB and iPhone more times than I care to relate...but finally realized that the iPhone just didn't have sufficient battery life for my needs. However, if Apple gets off it's **** and does something about that problem...I would probably be tempted to go back.

Can you text on a home phone/land line? That's probably what I'd get. My wife has the iPhone and I get bored with it after about 10 mins... so that would never suffice.

I don't think I have even seen a Sony Ericsson device some I haven't a clue what it offers. What's so good about that device? Again, not being rude, just curious.
