You would be best to stay away from that one. The original E71 is good. The E71x is what led me to BB. I had the E71x for 3 weeks. The battery died daily in only 6 hrs. although I only made two calls (5 minutes long total), sent 2 text messages, and checked the weather on the Internet after charging it overnight. I took it back, and the other 3 in the store would not allow my e-mail to be set up. Six hours later (yes I spent 6 hrs. in the AT&T store--so I got to try all the phones), I left the AT&T store with my Bold.
Now, to answer the original poster's question, if I did not have a BlackBerry, I would have an iPhone.
I probably will not ever try another Nokia phone unless somebody gives one to me for free.
My first phone was a blackberry and all my phones have been blackberries. So I'm stumped. I do not like touchscreens and I NEED a phone with LED notifications. So no iPhone.
well since I'm on AT&T it would have to be iPhone despite that I dislike touch screens
I also dislike touchscreens; however, I dislike Windows Mobile even more. So if I couldn't have the BB OS I would not have much other choice with AT&T. I would not want Symbian OS after my Nokia E71x disaster.

I'd probably still be fuming that a decent Google phone still hasn't been released. I mean, how long have we been reading about all the kick *** stuff Android had in the works, and all the playing-field-leveling patents Google was registering? Three years? I still have high Android hopes, but I bought my Bold because I couldn't wait any longer and because it had 90% of what I was looking for in Android, and does everything else much better than the G1.
Its tough. My first bb was a pearl and I loved it. My sister has the omnia and I don't like the touchscreen, you have to use a pen.
Its a touchscreen not a penscreen. My other sister had the iphone as well as her boyfriend. He doesn't like it, and I've played around with it and didn't like it.
I've been through all the phone twice at the vsw store. The only thing that got my eye was the envy and I'm not to sure about that.
I've been without a cell phone many times that's probably the route that I would take.
Thank god for RIM.

I've already done the iPhone thing, and I've resolved that I need a phone that is more business than pleasure. That's why I dumped it for the Bold after less than a year. RIM is without peers in that arena, so second choice would take me back to WM.
I'd get the Palm Pre despite is lack of prowess. Or I'd get an HTC Touch device, iPhone isnt really for me but a world without the BB UI, I would maybe consider it
