If i have 8gb of music on a memory card does that slow the phone down? Or as long as its not saved onto the phone

The only lag you should see is when accesing the mem card and that may or may not happen.

I have about 6.5gb of music, movies and pics on my card and yes, I do notice lag once in a while when accessing media. Not a whole lot but enough to bother me from time to time.
