    which cod file or code from blackberry.alx do i need to delete, and if i delete
    stock ringtones and tunes will i be able to use my own,
    i have my bb 9000 at 71 megs free and working fine but if i can delete
    stock ringtones. i will have 75 to 77 of free megs some 1 help?

    that's 12 megs right there if i delete those will i lose the ability to use my own ringtones or option i know u did in 8700 ser and older 83xx ser

    +1 for BBfileScout. Super easy and free. You can delete right from the device w/o using DM.

    I keep my ring tones on my micro sd card. You make any song your ring tone. They don't have to be in a certain directory.

    Same here. I just use Audacity to edit songs and use them as ringtones. I
    just store them on my SD card and all is well.

    did u delete all the ringtones?
    I deleted just about all of the stock ringtones and alert tones (except for a few ones that I liked). No adverse effect on the phone's operation.

    I can tell you that deleting this 6 meg monstrosity cut my boot time down down to a minute and a half from four and a half. That saving is well worth it.
