Alright so I just left my iphone for a bold and so far I love it! But I am having one issue when I get a BBM message it does not alert me. I changed the profile to make sure it had a ring tone, but still nothing. Also I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it when I power up my device i get like 4 java error messages.

Make sure under "My Status" you're set to available.

Are you sure you have the volume set to something other than mute and it is also set to tone?

If you get the java error everytimg you power yur phone on you may want to cantact your service provider.
