I have had every Verizon BlackBerry, as well as currently still have a Motorola Droid, and I would never go back to any (still use the Droid) of the other BlackBerry's after using this device!

I'm giving my son my old 8330. He's going from an en V touch so he thinks he's going from a Kia to a Volvo. The Lexus can come when I get my next upgrade.

Nothing that I'd go back to, and I have had almost all of the BB devices in the poll.

Had the 8830 WE for the past 4 years....my god what a difference. I wouldn't mind going back as it was flawless and a workhorse throughout the years....but this is a totally different beast and I'm lovin it.

I came from an htc ozone/TP2. I find I prefer a bar style qwerty. My ozone believe it or not(I still find it hard to believe)is one of my all time favs. Simple, nice kb, awesome speaker, RF and batt life plus lightweight enough for a shirtpocket carry. My TP2 while awesome in it's functionality, and screen res. and kb. grew to weighty for me. I had a bb several years ago and had heard alot about the bold from when it was first released on gsm. Thought I'd give it a shot. While I'm starting to get pretty attached to it I could still swap out to one of my wm devices for a spin for a week or two. The Boldis a pretty sweet ride for now.

OK, help me out here. I notice that a number of people seem to have more than one smartphone device and use them. My question is why? Is one for work and one for personal? Do some of you have more than 10 email addresses?

I'd love to hear an explanation.

It's the variety, plus some feel the grass is greener syndrome, over there.
Some people have more than one car, yet can drive only one at a time. The list is endless. I don't see why phones are any different. Besides there not just a phone obviously, so much more. Outside of these forums most folks would think we're crazy to be so obsessed with a "phone." They don't call it crackberry for nothing. It can become a real addiction and extend to other devices as well.

Now those people with the ten email addresses...Whew!..now were talking obsessive weirdos.LOL,LOL

Came from an HTC Touch Diamond. I'd go back if the phone wasn't running Windows Mobile. It is quite laggy.

Exchanging Bold for EVO4G once Best Buy calls. Was a decent device while I had it.

I came from a 7290, it was a revolutionary device, loved it! The Bold 9650 is an evolutionary change from the 7290, same great features with more great things added and improved, I couldn't go back now!

Its because they are maniacs. Smartphone fans. People tend to throw money at things they love, collectors, hobbyists, enthusiasts, whatever you wish to call them.
I think a good portion of the people here don't NEED more than one device, just like Jay Leno don't need more than one car. However, they enjoy what a smartphone can do, and enjoy not just using them, but comparing the differences on where one excels and the other lags behind.

I second this emotion. While I LOVED my 8330 for the two plus years I had it and it served me well, I could NEVER give up my BOLD 9650 unless I had to wait it out for repairs or something freaky like that.

    Palm Treo 700wx -> Curve 8330 -> Palm Tree 800w -> Curve 8330 -> Palm Pre -> Curve 8330 -> Tour 9630 -> HTC Evo -> Tour 9630 -> Bold 9650

do you see a pattern here?

Either you really love your curve 8330 or you're confused as to what model number your Bold is ( BTW it's a BOLD 9650 not 9630), or both...

    OOPS...corrected...hehehe...I keep typing 9530

the reason I went back to the Curve constantly was because that was the only Blackberrry device out there for Sprint back then...I've always been a believer that the Curve was a solidly built device...and I do believe that RIM's quality has gone down since the release of the Tour (I have not used any model with other carriers so I can't comment where it changed), but I still loved the Tour functionality and the newness of it...I love new technologies, and the quality shift wasn't all that bad...they just are not build them like they used to...but then again, remember the trackball problem with the 8330? I've remember people own trackball replacements on the side just in case it went out

I didn't think I would like the trackpad, but after a few days, I it really grew on me...

I just have a Crackberry addiction. In a year's time I've has Storm >Storm2 > Tour > Bold. I keep one as a backup in case something happens to my current daily device. Right now Storm1 is waiting to be shipped to it's next owner, and Tour is going back to VZW as it was warranty replaced with my Bold. That leaves S2 in the drawer.

My last phone was a Dare. What a difference! I would not willingly give up my Bold to go back to the Dare now that I know what I have been missing.
