Last may. I upgraded my OS but the process stopped at the erasing applications process. Then it won't start up just the LED light won't flash. Then I got to load it again after 10 tries. But it got stucked in loading system software this time. And it booted up with an error 507(Nuked BB) then I got it fixed. I suspected that my USB cable is broken so that's why it got stuck. And yesterday. I bought a brand new and original cord. And I was wondering how can I be sure that my update will not end up like the last time.

There is no way to know ahead of time whether or not it will get stuck, you just have to try it.

There is no "sure thing" but go slowly and deliberately.
Download the new OS and install it to your PC. Then cable your phone and run Apploader. Everything will be backed up and a new OS installed and the old apps and data put back on.

For added security, make a back up using DM before you start the process.

    Good Luck!!

Thanks again!! it worked and I updated it to .600+OSBB Hybrid OS .600v1

    steps that I've done.

    1. Download Official .600 and hybrid .600v1
    2. Enable Service Book Legacy mode.
    3. Backed up everything using BDM
    4. Backed up Service Books only using BDM
    5. Installed OS and Hybrid
    6. Delete Vendor.xml file
    7. Scan for an update
    8. opened apploader
    9. Loaded the OS
    10. Restore all data

P.S But I've redownloaded the Facebook For BlackBerry v.2 and BBM v6.0.0.111
is there any way to backup those beta zone applications so that I don't need to redownloaded them all over again when I update again?? Thanks for the help everyone!

Use BBSak to backup the apps

Yeah I've tried BBSAK. But in the application management part.. There is a Backup.alx there. And if I updated the app it says it will not work properly.

Use BBSAK to backup 3rd party apps but use Install cods instead of Restore Backup to install them back on your BB. I always do this because most hybrids don't have the latest versions of the app.

You could hypothetically replace the .alx + cod files in the hybrid or OS before you flash. The downside is that you now have beta apps as the default that require keys in order to use though...
