I love my new BB Bold 990 for T-Mobile with 4G (tee hee). However, I hate double tapping 2 confirm selection!

It is like that with everything. From hyperlinks, to skipping songs on the music player, etc.

It is soooo annoying.

It's to prevent unwanted taps. I know that I have hit links while browsing on accident with my iPhone, accidentally hit next when i didn't want to. It's a nice feature, although it would have been nice if RIM gave users the option to disable it.

But as ESN said, use the trackpad.

If you go to settings and click on touchscreen sensitivity you can adjust your double tap.

I don't have to double-tap to confirm anything, unless a separate prompt comes up. Single-tap works just fine. I haven't futzed with the tap settings at all yet, either. Definitely check your settings.

I think the OP means confirmations, as in Yes/No to click a URL.
