I know I will probably get heat for this post, but honestly, I've been looking for the right answers...

I currently have v4.6.0.167 (1 month), and have had plenty of glitches. I've been reading throughout these threads that v.247 is quite the improvement. I went over to 101 Lecture Series on how to upgrade (besides going to OPTIONS>ADVANCED>WIRELESS UPGRADE), but am still dazed and confused. AT&T does not have v.247. How do I get .247? If I successfully install it form another non-AT&T carrier, will it void my AT&T warranty? What does void the warranty? I have also gone to the RIM website, but don't know where to download it from. Does it matter what carrier I download it from?

Any help would greatly be appreciate it! Sorry for the 20+ questions.

    Thanks again!

Try this and make sure to read the cautions. It should help. Good luck.

It won't void the warranty, it's official from RIM, who holds the warranty.

I use Crackmem only in the Advanced instruction 7. No need to wipe on an upgrade.

.247 was not released by AT&T, but was by some other carriers. Here's a link:

I'm assuming that you looked at this guide:
BlackBerry 101: How to Install or Upgrade to a New RIM BlackBerry Operating System (OS) | CrackBerry.com

Since this isn't an AT&T release, make sure you follow the step to remove the vendor.xml file.

This will not void your warranty, as far as I know, since you can always downgrade to the original OS, or any other AT&T release. Just make sure that you back up your phone through Desktop Manager. It's also a good idea to back up your 3rd party applications, to be safe. Applications instructions are here:

Here's another post from a fellow crack member about the .282 release.
