    Don't see how it's not working. Just press the key and while holding it scroll with the trackball. Just tried it on mine and it works fine...

    Also remember that if you wanted to type a word that when you usually type it uses an accent character, you could always auto-text that word.

    I'm looking for an "ë", which is not possible when I hold the "e" and roll the trackball in an sms or email.
    Then I tried to enter it as autotext, so I typed "Chloe" must be "Chloë", funny enough, it worked in autotext.

    Why not in making emails or sms??

    I have the latest OS (.234), but I tried a couple of things.

    It doesn't work with sms, but is does work with email???
    Even the autotext won't work in sms, but again, in email it works fine.

    I tried switching languages but not difference.

    What can I do about this?

    I was having trouble too, until I tried to scroll left right and then could get the rest of the characters and find the umlaut.
