Camera>BB Button>Options
There's a third party app (that I can't remember the name), but no way natively.
Edit: It's called BerryAnnoying
theres no option to turn off the "shutter" sound when taking pics in there bro
damnit...BerryAnnoying is $4.00 :(
i dont want to have to pay!
cmon RIM, take off the camera's SHUTTER SOUND next firmware upgrade!
there is a free one called peekaboo. Its amazing what google turns up :p
I have peek-a-boo on my phone. It's decent and gets the job done.
isn't it only a trial version? or can you just keep using it, just without all the features
EDIT: i just got peek-a-boo
works great! thanks guys
How much is your sanity worth?
thanks for that tip, gotta love this site and its users
you have to download a 3rd party app to achieve desired result.
It will never happen! It has nothing to do with RIM's inability to take off the sound. Its for security reasons! So others know when someone is using their phonecam to take a picture.
yeah i read that in another thread....sucks....but oh well peek-a-boo works!
i juts got berryannoying from CB shops and it's great!
anyone know the major difference between peek-a-boo and berryannoying?
it is but just keep downloading and it will keep working
And make sure you send the developer a thank you for his generous gift.
To DPD Crackberry.....know of what you speak.....there is no option for changing shutter sound in your methodology.....I guess that's why so many 9000's get f'd up.....answers that people don't know are given without trying them first.
cough when you take a picture :)
i always thought by putting it to vibrate it would disable the sound.. but i guess i was wrong.
Do you really think RIM cares about this trivial issue? I am thinking it is more of a privacy issue than a security issue, but then again I am sure RIM thinks that is someone else's problem.
There must be a way to remove the sound physically (or electronically haha) from the file innards of the phone, no? embedded in the OS somewhere
Get BerryAnnoying
This thread meets 2/3 perv requirements. Stealth & a camera ;p

what's the 3rd?
ugh, seriously......did you even try that before you posted it?
Yup, peek-a-boo for me too. I always end up using the BB camera anyway, just need peek-a-boo for those awkwardly quiet moments.
