    Good Evening All,

Would it be possible to delete the information on a Bold 9700, and return it to it's original factory state? If so, what is the procedure that I would need to follow to allow that to take place?

Thanks very much for your assistance.

Make sure to log into BIS and delete email addresses if you don't want them associated with the BlackBerry.

Thanks for your reply, but I am not sure that I am following you. Firstly, was is BIS? Secondly, I want to clean my 9700, and set up from scratch. I hope that this make it a little clearer.

You're welcome. You should be all set to set up from scratch now.

BIS is BlackBerry Internet Service. It's the Email Settings Icon that you log into to add/delete addresses.

Does this work to reinstall the factory OS that the phone came shipped with as well?

no. You would need to either downgrade or wipe/reload the stock OS

You need to delete your OS from your PC, download and install the OS you want on your BlackBerry onto your PC. Then hook up to Desktop Manager and install that OS from your PC to your BlackBerry. A wipe of the device from the device will not change your OS.

I used the procedure described in the video "Restoring a Nuked Berry" (I think somewhere on CrackBerry) and it worked perfectly.
