    Aside from the leaks,
    how often will the 9930/9900 get an official OS update?

    How often did it happen with the previous bold 9780?
    Did it eventually reach a point where OS6 didn't have any noticeable bugs after a half years worth of updates?

    Carriers suck.

    So not very often.


    And The bugs get worse.
    Good thing hybrid builders help with that.

    It depends upon your carrier. The carrier controls what OS versions gets released. Verizon (my carrier) is notorious for being slow with OS updates. This gives me pause after hearing about the issues with the current OS on the 9930.

    It's totally carrier-dependent. RIM has no say generally in when "official" OS updates. Leaked OS's on the other hand.....
