$350.00 I don't signing a new contract

I wouldn't base pricing on what you've seen for pre-releases...People with pre-releases, paid for exclusivity of a device that also came with limited functionality...
I would be willing to pay 300 or 350 with contract renewal. Does free gas for a year come with that? lol :D
Well tonight, up here in canada, I met someone with one and he let me hold it. Its so beautiful. As soon as I held it I heard the song..."How sweet it is to be loved by you" in my head! Lol. Its truly beautiful, ill sign a blank cheque for one!!!!

Very true, but the prices I was refering to here are the figures currently being quoted by reputable online/mail order companies for a production SIM free and unlocked Bold WHEN they do eventually become available. Needless to say they are quite happy to take money at this stage, and some will even guarantee not to charge any more, and will even to give a refund should the price happen to drop once it is officially 'launched'.
I have no doubt that prices will fall after a month or so, but as is often the case I feel that early adopters will be looking at a bit of a premium price anyway!
I paid 349 for my Curve so I'd go 400 easy for Bold.

that is absolutely disgustiing but yeah id pay 300-500 anywhere between there is good for me
I Paid 400$ For My 8320 (Unlocked). It is very dificult to buy them here because of the demand. I also sold about 50 more at 650$. The thing is, here in Venezuela where I live you sign no contract. You simply buy the phone, pay 15$ for the line and number and then I have 1000 Minutes and 500mb a month for about 65$. Also incoming calls are free. I would pay 600$ for a bold but Im not that crazy about one just yet. I will be selling them for about 1000$ when they arrive.
lmao!
$400 at the most!

My flimzy curve cost $650, so of course I would be willing to pay more than that. Between $600-$1000, like most high end smart phones.
I'm hoping for no more than $299 on a renewal . I can't imagine they would price it over the iphone even though the iphone was subsidized.
I am about to ty and buy a Bold in the UK where I currently am staying. If I buy it will be without a contract and the Bold will be unlocked. I reckon it will cost me in the region of $600 - 700. This is always assuming that I can get one.
If I do, I shall post the actual price here and you can all laugh.
If I cannot obtain one here, then I shall move to plan B. My son (age 24), and married to a delightful American girl, is re-locating to Charlotte, NC within the next month. One of his first jobs will be to find his Dad a good deal on a Bold.
btw: I paid $300 on ebay for my Curve.
I can get an iPhone for half that. I'm glad that I have the money. The Bold is def. worth double an iPhone.
I paid a little over 300.00 for my curve on ebay. So, I will have no problem paying up to 450.00 for my BOLD and another for my wife - maybe:D
I think phones, in general, are overpriced. Id go $399 dammit, no more, no less. Phones should not be on similar pricing levels as laptops/pcs, etc
Have to partially recant my previous statement. This will be my first BB, so maybe 450, 499 if i get a random payday. My contract isn't up for a year, but if the BB retail is over $500, I'll prob end up with a curve, or go for a non BB touchscreen. Come back a year later, see whats out then...
over 500 retail? the curve 8330 is 599:confused:
i would prob pay 350 with 2 year renewal..
since i paid 350 for curve out of contract
New to the phone thing, my latest and greatest phone was/is the LG Trax phone. If the Curve is going for $599 retail now, to **** with the Bold, lol. Id much rather drop that $$ on another tv or laptop. Need the BB for work somewhat, can afford it, just cant see myself dishing out $400+ for a phone. We'll see.....
i mean once the craze passes a little, ebay always has it for under retail..
so do not give up hope:cool:
