Just curious how long everyone has been using their 9900/9930 for. I'm going on 3 and a half strong proud years. With a regretted few days mixed in on IOS and droid.

Got my 9930 Late Dec 2011 (holiday bonus). It has been rocking an Otterbox Commuter the whole time. I just recently replaced the battery and the Otterbox developed a small crack by the charging port.

It survived Hurricane Sandy, many late nights at the Data Center, many dates, and many boring meetings. It's a tough workhorse. I am always eyeballing the Q10, but come back to the 9930 in the end.

I got my 9900 in November 2012. Switched to my Z10 in March 2013. Sadly the shortest lived device I've ever had as a daily driver.

Just got mine today. Coming from a curve 8900. Would've gotten the q10, but it doesn't have the trackpad. So far loving BB 7.1

Mine is about to "celebrate" 2 years of a very intensive and productive career! I am eyeing the Q10 but reading all the people who way the 9900 is more of a productive device... I am reluctant to change!

I can confirm that. Gave the q10 a fair shot just to see what it's all about. For business, productivity, multitasking nothing comes close to the 9900 series. It didn't take me long to witness it first hand.

It's awesome hearing that people are just getting their 9900s. With all that's available and for how long the 9900 has been on the market it's a testament to how amazing the device really is.

Same here, got it as soon as Voda UK released it, still going strong, and despite pressure from my carrier to replace it have no intention of doing so.

May well have gone Q were it not for the brilliant BL Ultimate Hybrid OS's that make the phone run so fast and smooth.

Spinning clocks and freezes ? Not in my experience.

Do a battery pull once a week to swap over batteries, one of which is the original that came with the device and that too is still going strong !!!

My first BlackBerry was a 9300 back in late 2010, I fell in love with them after deploying new Bolds to the staff at the company I was working with.

I bought my 9900 in July 2012 and even today I still look at it and marvel at how beautiful it is. I expect to be using it for at least three years even although I now also have a Z10; in fact, as long as BlackBerry support BIS I will keep my 9900 in some capacity.

I have mine since Nov 2011. However its' life span is probably coming to an end since the last couple of weeks it freezes, reboots and for some reason it loses it signal to all networks (even in areas with full coverage) and I have to hard reset it and still it may won't start....

Also with both my batteries there are moments where the the device shows a battery with a Red X on Top and i will have to hard reset the phone to work.

It's a pitty though since it was a great device with an amazing keyboard and solid Manufacturing.

2 moth, coming from BB9700 - Q5 and now 9900 for trackpad. Calendar and writing are easier on 9900 than Q5

    Since June of 2012!

Funny thing was I had the 8520 and 9360 from the same carrier and store location, but the 9900 wasn't even on display. I didn't know about it till I joined CrackBerry.

Nice! Post some pics of the red housing if you can. Bet that's gonna look great. Nice to see the youngsters using a tool like a BB to be productive in school instead of the wasteland of iphone.

Its been about 2 and a half years for me, crazy how time flies!

Damn I love this phone. Everything about it feels so good, and just works. I've had it for this long, never using a case, and it doesn't have one scratch! Even after dropping it on cement or hard wood floors.

Like other people have said, I too have been looking into the Q10 but I cant seem to pull the trigger. This 9930 is so awesome that I don't want to give it up. If only it had better internet, browser, and battery!

Got mine last March so almost a year. Don't see me changing any time soon. Husband has an Android and every time I have to type something on his phone I'm reminded of why I like mine so much more. Just bought a desktop charging cradle for it.

Charging Cradle is a nice buy.

Yet another failing of the Q10 in that it does not have charging points.

Yeah, Q10 might be a nice phone per se, but as a replacement for the 9900 it fails miserably...it just can't do the things that make the 9900 great...!
