Why are people going through your emails? Isn't it your phone that should be in your pocket or next to you somewhere at all times??? Sounds like you need to take better care of your phones or get some less-intrusive or less-nosy friends/family.
Not sure if there's an app out there that would lock another app on your phone.
Hi ddr2nite,
It is my phone, but sometimes it gets unavoidable if someone starts looking at the device, apps etc.. and eventually invades...
That is the reason why i was looking to lock down the messages at least.
You are able to "save" specific messages to your saved messages folder and then delete them from the SMS folder. If the other user isn't all that BB savvy you will be able to keep those saved messages low-key.
But other than that I don't believe there is any app that locks access to a single folder.
This may not be a perfect solution but it would prevent some snooping. First move the e mail application off of home screen and then hide the application. Get Quicklaunch and put it on the quicklaunch list using a name that others would not easily identify as your e mail application. You can then access your e mail using the right convenience key and clicking on the renamed e mail application on the QuickLaunch menu.
I have just tried this and it does work. Even if the application is hidden you can still access it from QuickLaunch.
Hi S_Moore.
That was indeed an intelligent work around :) I like it. QuickLaunch may not be a n easy thing to 'figure out' for other users :) I already hid the folder :) but had to show it everytime i get inside..
thanks.
