I tried to take apart my iPhone and completely trashed it to the point where it had to be replaced. The iPhone was glued together and the back case was made extremely cheap.

Is the bold made the same way or is it a breeze to take apart and reassemble? Looking to change my trackball, bezel and keyboard and won't do it if it ever REMOTELY resembles how hard the iPhone was.

    Thanks,
    Steve

The Bold is WAY simpler and easier to take apart. It's held together by a few screws (6) and that's it. Absolutely nothing like the iPhone. IMO, it's easier than the 8800 or Curve.

Pretty easy, just take your time and don't force anything.

I used my company ID card and a torx 5 screw to take mine apart Relatively easy, the ID card ensured I didn't break anything and the mainboard slid out smoothly..

I wouldn't say it is a piece of cake nor really hard, but mildly challenging.

So nothing is glued in place? I'm not touching the LCD.

I saw the video. I've watched it a few times. But I just want to make sure because the iPhone videos didn't show everything either.

This phone is by far the easiest phone to take apart ever. And I've messed with a LOT of phones. 6 screws, 3 main pieces to the phone. It depends on what you are taking it apart for. Whatever you do just take your time and be confident.
