I will surely get it, preferably if it's an official version from my carrier.

I'm kind of skeptical about it. I don't think it will be much of an improvement unless you own a touchscreen.

I think why at&t didnt jump the gun with 5.0 for the bold 9000 was because they new 9700 was going to be hitting the shelves soon and they didnt want to waste there time on that gameboy sized cellphone only rocking 128 megs lol dont worry not hating i still got my old 9000

I'll be a guinea pig for an early leak. I know how to wipe my phone and downgrade if it comes to that. I've done it before. :-p

I'm also willing to forego some apps if it looks like I'm tight on memory. I usually run with between 100-120MB free. But I shrink my OS. I wouldn't want to try that out of the gate on 6.0.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the UI improvements like kinetic motion on the trackpad, Media Player enhancements and especially the tabbed native Browser. Who knows what else? I'm excited about 6.0, and it can't get here soon enough for me!

The Blackberry 9700 is highly capable of running OS 6.0! And its expected to release in the next calendar quarter which is good but not to say it won't delay but knowing RIM I know it won't! The Bold is a powerful device and I can assure you it will run smoothly! I will definitely upgrade to 6.0 plus I'm not a crazy app person but I do have a moderate number of apps! As far as I'm concerned Apple and Android can go fly a kite!!

You know, you ruin the value of exclamation points when you post. Not to mention the fact that you have NO idea what you're talking about. You can assure me it'll run smoothly on a 9700? Really?? Hilarious.

    I'll try it on my 9700 but I'd prefer a 9700 w/ larger memory like 1 ghz..

OS 6 looks like RIM just copy/pasted what the iphone already is. From the layout anyway for the various icons, how the albums/music section works, etc.
