You can share it via dropbox, if the other person has dropbox.

Can't you just upload it to dropbox, then send the other person the dropbox download link?

The best you can do is give the person a link to download it. You can't send the file itself.

Downloaded this yesterday. Is there no way of directly downloading stuff from your Dropbox account to BB?

Yes, you can store a file you want in your public file, and then send people the link.

Doesn't the BB port allow you to email from the app?

So you can't download stuff directly, only email the download link to yourself?

    Photos and audio files.

Can't find the download page. I get a "page can't be found" error on Dropbox for Blackberry. Anyone have a good link?

I thought this dumb program allowed my phone 2 send files over 25MB. I didn't think it was gonna be so much extra work. I'll be deleting DROPBOX.

If you got stuff on your PC/Laptop just drag them to your Dropbox folder then they should be available on your BB Dropbox App

It's not a "dumb program". And a tiny bit of research would have revealed that that's not what DropBox is for.

Use it on your computer to email a link to the file to the other person. Or use the functionality within the BlackBerry app to email a link to the file to the other person. Simple as that.

Most likely, however, you will have a difficult time downloading a 26MB file over a carrier network anyway. You need to use a WiFi network.

Is it just me or does Dropbox for BlackBerry seem limited, compared to using it on an iPhone\iOS device?

I could have sworn I could open items etc on my iPhone. Doesn't seem that way [well not easily] on my BlackBerry 9900 [T-Mobile]

PS: I just tested documents, and they work fine. But, images are a pain. You can't simply open an image, and 'save as wallpaper', or even save to your device. Terrible really.

That would be ridiculously shortsighted. On Android, I can open up documents, download, upload, link via url, and share to social networks, email, etc. I can even play mp3s directly from the app.

It makes NO sense to handicap the BB version.

I too can't find any option to upload anything other than a photo. What about documents???? Surely I'm missing something.

Downloading and saving documents to folders works fine though.

Can you stream (without downloading and saving on 9900) a file using dropbox?

I never use it before and if that can be done, I will get dropbox for my Bold.
    Thanks.

    Thanks - that worked perfectly.

I assume dropbox is working more with droid/ios now and BB is an after thought. Shame we need a utility to make it work properly.
