my bold went down six feet under.
i have/had purchased 3 games on it.
i have a backup of dead bold.
how do I restore those games from backup to my new sent bold?

why would i pay 30 dollars again...

Where did you purchase the games? Sometimes the store you purchased those games from will allow you to switch PINs to that of your new device (I think it is dependent on the software author). Might want to contact where you originally purchased the software from.
