It should be said though, that before you do a Security Wipe, make sure that you've removed/transferred all of your photos and personal documents. I don't know about the Bold, but with the Storm, you have two options when doing a Wipe....you can choose to wipe either the device itself and/or, the media card, so be certain to preserve anything you want to keep.
Finally, after doing the wipe, dial whatever AT*T has set aside for updating roaming profiles (Verizon uses *228) and also, do a check for any OS updates so that your niece has the lastest/greatest!
