Glad I can give everyone a laugh! The best part of this whole thing was about 5 minutes after I handed it to her, I said I got the insurance plan in case you lose or break this thing because I know you will go through about 10 of these phones during the 2 year contract!! Little did I know she would destroy it in the next half hour!
You know your wife very well. Kudos on that.

Is there no deductible on the insurance?
I thought it was like $50, but maybe not?
I think Sprint uped the Insurance on smartphones to $100.00.
Sorry to hear bro, but glad you had the insurance. I tell ppl its always worth the peace of mind
Au contraire! It seems like the wife needs to do some serious "make up" duty. If not, the jaws of life may not be enough to rescue her.
Hilarious!
Dude, you have this married man's sympathies!
Best,
BTB
Man if I were in your shoes I could go golfing every day without a second look !
This might actually be the very first release version of the Bold 9650 that was destroyed.
Aww, your poor wife!!! I don't have a wife to complain about because I AM the wife (my husband would like to complain about me though....), but my Mom sounds a lot like your wife. She comes running to me with unbelievable problems that she "somehow" or "accidentally" got on her computer or phone. Sometimes it's some kind of malware ... "MOM, how long has the background on your computer been a flashing caution sign saying 'Pls check your computer for malwares they are dangers to all!'?" .... "Umm, probably about a week now." Or she'll call me up frantic at work and say, "I did something to my phone and now all of my contacts are gone and I can't go on the internet! Please come and fix it!" (how someone accidentally does a handheld wipe is beyond me).
But she has never actually physically destroyed a phone, that's for sure. Now that I said that though, I can assure you that within the week, I'll be trying to superglue her new BB together. :p
Yikes!!! Just saw this. Smart move on the insurance.
i think that's a story for the 2nd crackberry book lol
I'd so be crushed and now know if mine ever falls in between the cracks of my recliner/couch - DO NOT OPEN, get someone to help flip it
LOL...your replacement "should" be new since nobody's had a chance to return their's yet...lol.
Hate to hear of the misfortune. It's only a device though. Your wife's feelings are far far far more important.
$100 deductible and Sprint said I should have it within the next 5-7 days since its just released. Also it should be a brand new one since there are no refurbished ones yet. My wife's might be the 1st LOL. On a side note I'm a Blackberry BES Admin and my new 9650 should be on my desk tomorrow morning when I get into work. My wife is not allowed to touch my BB.
omg! what a story.. Thank god for insurance.. I have it too.. But haven't crushed my phone within a half hour of activating it tho.. This must be a first.. I am sure she felt like crap..
I have seen some people break phones pretty fast. But a bb in 30 minutes? wow!
Thank God my wife hates smartphones! She's still using a Motorola Razor! I would not have responded as well as you. That is for sure!
VZW deductible is $89 for a smartphone.
I have never laughed so hard in my life...priceless
If women were supposed to have cell phones, one would have been pre-installed on the stove.
you are certainly a very brave man.
and that's why i buy everything with my amex card. your purchases are covered for 90 days against accidental damage or theft
on top of that, amex adds 1 year to the manufacturer's warranty, so it's perfect for gadget purchases!
the look on my face about this is as bad as how the SUNs are losing to the lakers.
sad on both but you have replacement coverage which is a good thing. just hope the SUNs can get their groove back these next couple games ):
Or velcro'd to the side of their face while driving their big SUV all over the road while talking.....LOL.
dang that sucks. don't let her get ahold of your phone!!
