there should be some sort of OTA package of icons you can download for these things, that'd be awesome and seems like something some developer could easily do. anybody heard of anything like this?
the magicicon app is a nice idea, but you're not actually changing the icons with it, you're creating a duplicate program/folder with a new icon and then have to hide the old one, and on a phone with limited memory as is, i'm not going to waste a single kb i don't have to.
Just follow the same instructions and everything wll go back to normal:
Warning: Please make sure you didn't delete anything else, otherwise you may affect your phone functionallity....if you are a newbie better to backup your BB before to proceed with the steps below.
1) Plug your BB as USB Drive
2) Go to folder:
Blackberry\System\appdata\rim\webstorage
3) Add a new folder with the name below:
net_rim_bb_file_explorer.Media
"Make sure you copy the name exactly, since media shall be with capital M"
If folder does exist - check the files listed on step 4 are on that folder.
4) Go to folder: System\media
copy (COPY and DO NOT delete the files from the System\media folder - Very important this step) the files on that folder (musicart.dat, podcastart.dat, ringtoneart.dat and videoart.dat....also any other dat file on that folder)
into the folder you have created on step 3)
5) Do a soft reset "alt+shift+del"
6) Once reboot you will see all the files back in the media folder
