    Hello,

I have a BB 9900 which is my daily driver. I am currently writing a book using it and wanted to know if anyone out there has any ideas of how to transfer the files.

    Many blessings,

I think all info is stored within the app itself. I don't recall that app having the ability to save to an externally accessible file. Probably the best thing to try is copy/paste into an email - in several emails at a time if it's a lot of text - and send that to yourself if you have an email account accessible from a PC.

That assumes your phone has email through one of the workarounds like LogicMail. I know that's one of the limits of still being on the old BBOS.

You would need to make an unencrypted backup with BB Desktop Software and then try .BBB file extraction utilities listed below to extract MemoPad data from the backup file. It might make sense to make a "selective" backup and only include the MemoPad (and nothing else), to make extraction process easier. Here are some links and screenshots:

The way I do it is by copying and pasting the text from memos to a word file on Documents to Go (which came pre-installed on my 9720) and save the file to device/SD, then you can easily plug in to a PC and transfer the file.
