I paid AUD $950 for mine the day they first became available in Australia, however I now have purchased two others (my wife has one and our niece) and both of those are paid off by the plans they are on, zero upfront, probably around AUD $750 over the term of the contract.
99 the day it came out on O2
No discount on the handset prices even for an O2 employee
It is only 20 per month for 1000 mins unltd sms and unltd blackberry on a 12 month contract though
Hehe. Legal huh? Are u from holland? Lol. Jk. I paid $3600 TT for mine...which works out to roughly $571 US. It hurt initially, but the phone has soothed the sore spot in my bank account. I love my BOLD.

Mine was given to me by a charitible organization helping wounded Iraq vets get through school. They paid for the phone, isurance, data plan, and basic phone plan. Before I got my Bold I kept my life managed on post-it notes and on the back of fast food receipts. Even if I hadn't gotten the phone for free, I would've bought one.
I paid $99.99 CAD and **** yeah it was worth it. I am totally addicted.
Same here lol . it's my first berry and i was a die hard window mobile phone guy i swore i'd never get one......now i'll never go back to a w/m phone again
Paid $399 the day it came out from Rogers and never thought about the amount. I am of the mind that if I get exactly what I want, then cost is not an issue for me. And I did get it. And it's not an issue.
I drop this phone and crack it in half - I'm replacing it same day.

I traded a member here a Colorware customized 8310 Curve + $300 for mine. So, I guess I have roughly $500 invested...and it's been worth every penny. I haven't had a device in years that I am so pleased with overall.
I paid full price for the phone, sold my Q9H on eBay, and got the $100 rebate from AT&T, so in the end, I ended up paying $240 with no contract. I too was a die hard WM device user until I got the Bold - won't use anything else.
Paid 350 for an unlocked retail model from PCWorld (*cringe*) but it was the cheapest price at the time anywhere. Why? Got sick of waiting for 3 to release it and will be dumping them in June for O2 Simplicity 20
I paid $400.00 plus tax with a $100.00 mail in rebate. I absolutely love the phone (although only slightly diff from 8330) but I am questioning whether it was worth the hefty price tag. This however is going to be my last bb meaning I have finally found it all in one phone, and just don't think it could get any better. I had the storm, but was thoroughly disappointed. But...why is this phone so damn expensive?
I paid 199.99 for the storm, was ridiculously disappointed, went back to AT&T and got a great deal for returning. I paid 149.99 for the Bold, and the store gave me silicon skin. I would have paid full retail for it...AMAZING DEVICE
