I tried to connect my 9700 to my home wireless internet. I scanned for networks and found my connection. I clicked on it and got a message saying "The wireless router supports Wi-Fi protected setup. To connect using a PIN (Which your Blackberry will generate), click NEXT." I clicked next and and it gave me a PIN number with a countdown of 5 minutes. When I've connected to other wi-fi networks (at school) all it asked for was my password to get on the network. I don't know exactly where I'm supposed to punch in this PIN that Blackberry Generated. Would it be easier for me to just take the password protection off of my wifi? I'm not close enough that anyone can connect to it. My wireless router is a Linksys. Any help would be appreciated.

This happens to me, once the screen next pops up I click the back button and then it ask me for my wifi pin. If that doesn't work try turning the pw protection off. This started happening after I updated to .545 I don't know if this has to do with later os or what but I know this never happened when I first got my 9700 or my 8320.

If I remember correctly, when you get to where it gives you the PIN , just hit the back button on your berry and it will ask you for your password and done. I'm not 100% sure about this but I believe that's how it worked for me.

You need to type this in your router settings,. Should be an option to add a wireless device with WPS.

Edit: In your router you may aslo choose to disable WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) completely, and this will enable you to only use a password or key security.

Wow! I've been wondering how to connect to my router forever. I just gave up until I saw this. What a simple (but hidden) fix.
