I am assuming you have tested this from a landline where you KNOW caller ID is in use?
If so, then I'd hassle your phone company and ask why Caller ID is not enabled for you. I don't think there is a setting in your phone that would have done this. It is more likely at a network level.

I just shifted to Vodafone from Reliance.
I thought there was something wrong in my phone coz I have been trying out various OSes in the past 2-3 days. Lol!
