I have scanned several threads and haven't seen a solution.

I have a BB 9000 on ATT V4.6.0.167 platform 4.0.0.157. For the past 4 weeks I have been getting the never ending hourglass clock. It has gotten to the point that I have to do a battery pull (or alt-shift-delete) at minimum 4 times a day to get the thing to function. I have modified all my updating apps to only update when requested and made sure nothing is running in the backgroud. That is the extent of my knowledge and I am at my wits end. anyone know how to fix this

    Whats your file free at?
Options>status. If it's under 12000000, you may experience a slow running device. You may need to delete some apps to solve this. Also, if you don't have one, get a memory card and store all your pictures and music and such on there...will free up alot of space.

One other thing, do a search for ways to clear up memory. ( I believe there is a BB Lecture 101 on it)

    My file free was 0.

I went to advanced options and deleted several apps to clean up some memory. I'll see if this fixes it at all. I have an 8gb mem card that all media (pics, music etc) goes to automatically.

    I hope this helps. Thanks

Try upgrading your OS to .266 or .282. You should have more free memory with either of those.
