so i have a BT adapter that i plugged into my computer...it finds my BB and i click connect. it also finds my computer on my BB...but i get an ERROR message that says

ADDING THIS DECVICE TO THIS COMPUTER FAILED DO TO AN AUTHENICATION ERROR???
it says it might be due to an incorrect paring code??

Should my bb be in listen or search mode...ive tried both! please help...

The bluetooth adapter is an IOGEAR GBU421...

Usually, you have to enter a numeric code to finalize the pairing. I just paired my Bold (replaced the Tour) with my pc and it generated a 5 digit code as I recall that I had to type in. Win XP with a Kensington Micro adapter.
