Hey guys i have a brand new att bold 9700.

for some reason when i goto my media i can not click or open any of my photos. even my menu button does nothing

i can see the thumnails but cant open them

i tried update my firmware and i even tried the battery pull , nothing helped. even preloaded photos wont open?

when i start my phone i got an error saying "java.lang.illegalmonitorstateexception"

any ideas

had the same problem with my 8900 once before. I did not get that Error though !

See if this helps > Remove the media card and put it back in then go to options > memory ( press the BB menu button ) > scroll to repair

tried that , did a battery pull, still have uncaughtexception. what do i do my photos wont open
