I tried to download the app from Dropbox website and now the phone keeps rebooting I can't get it to stop and stay on, I tried a battery pull but it brings up a screen I have never seen before then shuts down and rebots again. The screen has a few words typed on it and one of the words is reboot. What can I do?

I use Dropbox on my 9650. It works well. It sounds like you got a corrupted installation. Unfortunately it sounds like you are going to have to reload your OS to recover. Hopefully you have a recent backup to restore from. Reloading the OS will wipe out all the data on your device.

Here is a tutorial to help you: http://forums.crackberry.com/tips-ho...ckberry-32322/

The directions says to go to Loader/jdvm from the app loader, I can't find that jdvm what should I do, I ran the loader wizard but it did not fix the problem, what now?

I think you are misreading the instructions. The command argument is nojvm

Do you have your BlackBerry OS installed on your pc? That's how the loader program gets installed. If you are running Windows 7, the path may be different than what is shown in the procedure.

Jeff, this is the same Desktop Software (Desktop manager)that I had been using, still no nojvm file found in App Loader. The link you gave me is to download the Desktop Software not the phone's os6. Am I way off base?

Select Personal email, select your device from the dropdown box, then down load the device software. You will have to enter your phone number as well.

That link will get you to the DEVICE OS. Just select Personal Email and then select your device model from the drop down.

I just did that again and in the end I got a screen that says "Desk Top Software Repair or Remove Program" I hit Repair Then it went throught the install process for the Desk Top Software. If it also installed the phones OS where would that be? What would the file name be?

I can't figure out where you're going wrong, and I know you're not doing it deliberately, but you're not following my and Motorcycle Mama's instructions. Installing Desktop Manager (the Desk Top software) is NOT the same as installing the device OS. They are two separate steps. Did you push the button for Personal Email? Do you see the option for Device OS, standard or multi-language? You want Device OS, not Desktop Software.

I forgot I had these. They are for an older version, but they show the steps:

Yes, I did exactly that. If it downloaded the OS where would I find it? I pulled up the file in my downloads folder and thats where it took me to the "repair or uninstall the Desktop software". I hit the repair. Is there a folder I can check to see if the OS were installed?

Using windows? Do a search for it but more than likely it's in your download folder or documents folder.

Edit: Not sure if it is the newest but you can also download from here Verizon_9650_6.0.0.524 - Downloads - BlackBerry Forums pay attention to where it is saving to when you save it.

The file will be where you saved it when you downloaded it. Double-click the file you downloaded to install it on your pc. You are using a pc and Windows?

Ok, I got it downloaded, found it in the downloads file and double clicked went through the installshield wizard and installed the device software v6.0.0. It successfully installed device software, I hit finished. went to computer/C:/program files (x86)/common files/Research in motion/appLoader. Still don't see that loader/nojvm file, in fact no files were modified in this list.
